Personal Financial Literacy Instruction for Blind/Low Vision Transition-Age Students

5/13/25 - Introduction to Meaningful Personal Financial Literacy Instruction for Students with Blindness or Low Vision

5/20/25 - Implementation of Meaningful Personal Financial Literacy Instruction for Students with Blindness or Low Vision

5/27/25 - Blind/Low Vision Components of Meaningful Personal Financial Literacy Instruction

Time:
12:00PM – 1:00PM for all sessions

Location: Virtual

Pennsylvania requires Personal Financial Literacy coursework to meet high school graduation requirements, but we know that students with blindness/low vision need more than basic Personal Financial Literacy courses provide. This session series will explore the mainstream curriculum and discuss ways to make that curriculum more meaningful, and it will dive deeper into financial matters specific to blind (and some low vision) students, including government support programs and benefits, work incentives, and special savings vehicles.
